Four Man Better Ball - 2 Seans, a Shawn and a Nate were not enough for the Seascape course.  Despite some "ham and egging", the 134 carded was not enough for entry into the next round.

Two Man Better Ball - Serving as replacements for Borsum/Calise, Brown/Paist were no slouches. From the 1st hole with Brown's par/net eagle to the18th with Paist's birdie/net eagle, their 62 proved to be a unbeatable score.  Beer sales reached a record as incoming foursomes drowned their sorrows when told the "3 score and 2" was not a misprint. On the impressive gallery of women who abandoned their husbands and boyfriends to watch this HackPack duo the last 15 holes, Brown commented "it was important to maintain focus despite the attention from those twins and Natalie Gulbis". Paist added "Luckily, Erica Blasberg and Cristie Kerr understood we would call later to schedule the "lessons" requested". A nice touch was the 17 mile entrance guards saluting the convey escorting the top seeds home to San Jose. At home, dinner was served without fanfare.....
